Panasonic's ST60: Best TV value of the year

This year Panasonic's plasma TVs are better than ever, and the least expensive videophile-grade example is the TC-PST60. Find out why it's the new standard for picture quality that mortals can actually afford.

The ; has a reasonable price, incredibly good picture quality with exceedingly deep black levels, great shadow detail, accurate colors, solid bright-room performance, and superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics; it also features sleek styling...

Worse 3D quality than many competing TVs; not as suited to extremely bright rooms as some LCD models; consumes more power than LCD TVs; introduces significant input lag.

The midlevel price and outstanding quality of the Panasonic TC-PST60 series make it our strongest TV recommendation ever.

"Great tv for a solid price"

Love the tv and the picture It is the best I have ever seen for this price. It is to bad that plasma is going away. They look so much better, especially when watching sports. My only beef is turning off the speakers if you are using a soundbar or a...

"CNet is right--an almost perfect TV"

My wife and I are not gamers and I'm blind in one eye, so 3D is a useless capability for me. (And my wife doesn't care about it!) That pretty much eliminates all the reported "cons" for this TV as far as we are concerned. As long as the device displays...

"BURN IN SO BAD, IT MAY AS WELL HAVE CAUGHT FIRE!"

PANASONIC REFUSED TO POST THIS, THOUGH IT MET THEIR REVIEW CRITERIA! THEY ARE LIARS! THEY WON'T POST ANY REVIEWS THAT ARE NEGATIVE ON THEIR SITE. If they want to do that, it's their prerogative, but they ought not LIE and say that they'll post anything...

"Awesome picture...after break-in"

I have researched Panasonic TV's for over 5 months. Switching from GT50, to VT50, to eventually landing the ST60. I'm glad I did. If i were to rate this TV right out of the box, i would have given it 2 or 3 stars. I was a little dissapointed with the...

"Outstanding picture but I have a quality problem"

I would have absolutely loved to give this a 5 star rating but product defect slows me down and uncertainty over Panasonic ability/willingness to fix problem concerns me.

Awesome picture. Great that it connects directly to Wifi. Good assortment of services on television but Pandora seems to be missing. Audio quality is pretty good given constraints.

It came with a 9 1/2 inch line running from the left edge toward the middle. Panasonic (India) is not making it simple to get the problem resolved. It took a month to get set and now I wonder how long to get either replacement or fix.

No TV in the market currently can compare to the Quality of this TV given the price. You cannot beat it period! I only ask one thing "Panasonic, given OLED doesn't look like it is going to be mainstream any time soon, please do not stop making Plasmas,...
