Panasonic TH-PH10UK review: Panasonic TH-PH10UK

Very good black-level performance and shadow detail; accurate color decoding; independent memory per input; versatile PIP function; extensive picture adjustments with full grayscale controls; removable, customizable inputs; spartan styling.

Inaccurate primary color of green; some false contouring; does not include a stand, a tuner, or speakers; limited to only four total inputs and doesn't include a digital input out of the box; cannot change aspect ratios with HDTV sources.

While still offering excellent all-around picture quality, the "professional" Panasonic TH-50PH10UK plasma TV isn't quite as good a bargain as its "consumer" cousins.

Panasonic TH-P42S10A plasma television

A 42-inch, mid-range plasma television that is outperformed by its more expensive counterpart

Good colour and motion control, no gradation issues

Less than $300 cheaper than the Panasonic G10 series, low energy star rating

Panasonic’s mid-level plasma television offers good picture quality, a reasonable albeit conservative design and decent picture quality at a reasonable price. It’s a good package, but its value for money is challenged by the close pricing of the...

Panasonic Viera TH-P42S10A

For a budget plasma, the Panasonic Viera TH-P42S10A certainly doesn't perform like one and boasts a significant improvement on last year's models.

Very, very good pictures ; Excellent performance for the money ; Energy efficient (for a plasma)

Some softness with DVD ; Blacks look brown in well-lit rooms ; Poor on-board sound

When run through our set of "synthetic" Blu-ray benchmarks, the TV passed the jaggies, video resolution and noise tests which is a testament to the television's video capabilities. However, it did fail the film res test which seems to indicate its...

This TV is full of win

The slim/minimalist design, with a border no bigger than your average computer monitor offers a clean look for a classy installation. Don't worry that this set isn't 1080p, at a 6'+ viewing distance with a 50" screen (or less) the benefits of 1080p are...

Awesome black levels, easy to set up, great picture, great design. I mainly got this set because of the quality/price ratio, this is IMO THE BEST TV for the money. Image quality is superb, not to mention the 2 year in home repair warranty provided by...

None that I can think of, it doesn't come with a stand, so you will have to mount it/buy a stand. This was perfect for me because I wanted to mount it on the wall anyhow. It also doesn't have speakers, which isn't a con for me, I use my home theater's...

Awsome, Perfect, Wow, GET ONE!

There is no comparison between the pure life-like images the TH-50PH10UK produces over the former plasma I had. I am completely satisfied now. I started out with the CNET suggested settings. They were pretty good, but after running JKP's DVE, I found...

True to life color reproduction ; Black detail ; Slim bezel ; Picture adjustment options ; Expandable input options ; and most importantly - IT'S A PANASONIC :)

Not really a con, but keep in mind, if you need the pedestal like I did, it's going to be an extra option costing you a little more

Does have HDMI inputs.

If you want features like a stand/mount and speakers built in, buy a consumer unit. If you want, and understand, the features of the Pro units and the ability to adjust for the best picture quality available, this is the best. We have many of these...

Superior Picture quality. Superior, if not unprecedented flexibility in adjustment and controls. High reliability. Great value. Previous review in error about no HDMI, must have earlier model. All 10UK units have dual HDMI inputs as well as Component...

Can't imagine what they would be! Only requires you to understand what it is and know what you are doing. It is a Pro/Commercial unit and assumes you understand what the specs mean, and can read what features are present. Many accessories are...

Excellent monitor

Keep in mind that this is a commercial monitor, not a consumer television. It has low weight and price because it doesn't come with built-in speakers (though there is an audio in jack with speaker outputs), a TV tuner, or a stand. It also lacks 1080p...

Good picture quality, light for it's size, attractive with small bezel, simple remote and menu layout, great price, durable commercial build makes it more resistant to burn-in

none that I can think of when used in its intended context (see below)
