Panasonic TX-26LXD600 review

Persuasive, portable and full of genius

Looks impressive ; Connectivity is excellent

Price seems steep for a 26in LCD

Panasonic's pricing is worthy when you consider it's performance here

Panasonic TX-26LXD60

This set has plenty of features up its sleeve, but the latest V-Real processing gives it a real picture edge over its rivals. Few manufacturers have had such consistent success with flat TVs as Panasonic.

One of the greatest picture performers we've seen, Handles blacks and shadows very well, Handles motion well, Good connectivity

Sound isn't very good

An excellent HD Ready TV, if ever we saw one

Panasonic TX-26LXD60

The 26LXD60 gets off to a rather uninspiring start by being aesthetically the drabbest set in this group test. Just as well, then, that it makes a better impression with its connectivity by providing twin HDMIs alongside the usual component video...

Twin HDMIs, good price, stunning picture quality

No PC input, slightly drab looks, average audio

Panasonic Viera TX26LXD60

Picture is good - number of channels obtainable is impressive even if you don't want to see most of them. Sound is fine. Size of set is ideal for room in which TV is situated.

Very slow to start. Text mode is inefficient compared with our five year old Sony set. It can take several minutes to get text and some text numbers simply do not work, particularly of BBC Channel 4.
