It is as advertised

If the antenna's base was a bit larger, it would be more stable.

This TV is as advertised ; It is easy to set up using either over the air or cable mode ; It receives all of my local channels over the air ; The FM radio reception is good, too

A plus for blackouts, hurricanes, etc.

A small battery-powered TV is a must for power blackouts caused by hurricanes or other severe weather. If you have an older (2+ years) portable TV, it's time to replace it if it only picks up old "analog" signals. Now that all TV signals in the USA...

Larger screen than watching TV on a cell/smart phone ; Portable ; Decent tuner if close to TV tower

Does not come with 12-volt/car adapter ; Rechargable battery only ; Not good for "fringe" signals (40+ miles away)

Just received a portable Philips tv and couldn't be more pleased! Picture on this 9" tv is great! Gets many channels and is perfect (especially in winter power-out storms) Also, it is no larger than a picture frame! And being a first-time Newegg...
