Pioneer PDP-LX608A

They say that money can't buy happiness, however we beg to differ. Whoever exactly wrote that proverb clearly hadn't laid eyes upon Pioneer's PDP-LX60...

Brilliant blacks, incredibly crisp image, great colours, full 1080p, 24Hz capable

Some minor noise evident in standard definition from close up, costly

To put it simply, Pioneer's PDP-LX608A is the best plasma around right now. While you certainly pay a hefty price if you can afford it, this TV will handle both high- and standard-definition content perfectly.

Pioneer PDP-LX608A

The Pioneer PDP-LX608A is an amazing full-HD, 1080p screen, and justifiably sits at the apex of the company's plasma range.

Extra-terrestrial black levels ; Amazing colour and detail ; Surprisingly good analog tuner ; Image processing is top notch

Some noise on PC input ; Very laggy changing channels ; Expensive ; Too big for most rooms

Also, as we've mentioned, this is a very large TV and suited to very large living spaces or dedicated theatres. But if you've a sufficiently bulging wallet and room to burn then this is a fantastic television.

Nothing tops this, All that 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio is a load of $#!%. If you want the blackest blacks, this TV is it. Honestly, their should be an global industry standard which measures blackness of TVs across all manufactures/producers.

If you shop around you can now pick one up for $7,800. Looks great in a decent size room

Big and beautiful

channel changer is slow, but if you run it through a settop box or dvr it changes fine

Pioneer PDP-LX608A

An AWESOME experience...this television - although i think too heavey to hang on my wall is perfect. The quality and clarity supurb. The control a little confusing, but i use a universal remove with the stereo and dvd system.

Picture, size and compatibility (ensures that it wont be outdone in a month, its been a over year now, i havent seen many 60" on the market)

THE PRICE and weight (i really would like it wall mounted)

Pioneer PDP-LX608A

I have the LX508A which is fantastic and I would only expect the 60" to be, well, 10 inches better!

High def picture is absolutely supurb - nothing comes close ; Sexiest looking TV on the market

Very slow channel changing ; Pioneer's service was slower than the channel changing
