The Pioneer Elite PRO-940HD PureVision plasma television isn't cheap, but it delivers excellent picture quality and useful multimedia features.

Excellent multimedia file support. Very good image color and contrast. Attractive styling.

Expensive. Slightly softer image quality than that of some plasma TVs.

Pioneer Elite 60-inch KURO PRO-151FD Reviewed

Kuro is Japanese for black and the blacks on this model are unmatched according to HomeTheaterReview.com. This lovely 60 inch TV also has 1080p resolution and four HDMI inputs which can be independently calibrated to provide the best possible picture...

The 60-inch KURO is the ultimate conversation piece. Even when off, the KURO with its high-gloss, jet black finish and imposing size draws to it all the eyeballs in the room. You can sense the anticipation visitors have about how good the KURO picture...

I initially found the 60-inch KURO to be physically noisy. A slight hum emanating from the screen was most noticeable when watching DirecTV and somewhat noticeable with other sources. Over time however, as the set has broken in, the hum has become far...

The KURO Elite is a serious display for serious viewers with serious wallets. If you are looking for a big, inexpensive HDTV, head to Costco or Wal-Mart because the KRUO is not for you. But if you are looking for the best picture quality and most...

Pioneer Elite PRO-141FD Plasma Monitor

It's a sad situation, but who can really blame Pioneer? LCDs sell in much higher numbers than plasmas thanks to their brighter image on the showroom floor, and Kuros are more expensive than most other flat panels. Add to that the economic meltdown, and...

Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-141FD Plasma HD Monitor

As I was finishing up this review, word arrived that Pioneer will exit the video display business. The economic climate, Pioneer's premium prices, and the increasing market share of LCD displays combined to create a perfect storm that the company could...

It also has a Multi-Screen (side-by-side or PiP) function. But you cannot display the images from two HDMI inputs or two analog inputs together. One of the sources must be analog, and the other must be digital.

Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-111FD Plasma HDTV

Manufacturers of flat-panel plasma televisions have been refining the technology for years. But Pioneer has been particularly successful at it. In the past, the company made some of the world's best rear-projection CRT sets, and it knew that great...

The panel praised the Pioneer for its smooth performance on motion. One judge noted that it produced the cleanest detail on horizontal motion, holding small details in the background and foreground.

Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-141FD Plasma HD Monitor Reviewed

Adrienne Maxwell raved about the Signature Series panels which "utilize an advanced IP control platform that gives the installer an unmatched level of access and customization." Available in 50 inch or 60 inch models, this series has eight picture...

KURO panels offer some of the deepest blacks you'll find in the flat-panel category, and the result is an image with outstanding contrast and rich color ; The PRO-141FD does a great job with both HD and SD signals ; There are two modes to help reduce...

This monitor has no internal TV tuners ; It does not come with speakers or a stand. You can add the optional stand if desired, but there's no option to add speakers. This display is meant to be integrated into a complete home theater system

The Elite Signature Series PRO-141FD offers a gorgeous image and a comprehensive set of adjustments. It represents the best of the already industry-leading KURO line, but that performance comes at the premium price of $7,000 for a 60-inch monitor....

Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-111FD Plasma HDTV

These products will be around until next summer (at least), but we didn't think you'd want to wait until then to read about them. That's particularly important this year. This series of KURO plasmas—generation 9—will be the last models built completely...

Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-111FD Plasma HDTV Reviewed

While the 2007 Pioneer Elite models drew rave reviews, the 2008s are considered even better. It features Pioneer's Home Media Gallery which easily plays digital movies, music and photos via the USB port or can connect the TV to your home network via...

This year's KURO models offer evendeeper black levels than last year's models while still retaining goodlight output, creating an outstanding overall contrast that makes theimage look very rich and three-dimensional ; This year's models also offer...

The inclusion of only one componentvideo input means that, if you have a lot of older sources, you'll needto add an external component video switcher ; This year's model lacks the CableCARD slot and TV Guide on Screen program guide, if that really...

Pioneer is still the company to beatin terms of flat-panel performance. The Elite KURO PRO-111FD produces agorgeous image, offers ample picture adjustments and HDMI inputs, andadds some nice digital-media features to boot. All of thisfunctionality does...

Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-151FD

Besides being elegant and solidly built this flat panel model holds some very advanced features such as TRUE 1080P 24fps™ signal processing, 1080P 72Hertz processing for film-based contents, Intense Blacks for Unmatched Contrast, ISFccc® (Image Science...

To sum up our review we can say that Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-151FD™ is one decent Plasma television with a very strong black level in the picture. The monitor has strength of present day requirements but at a higher price. If the price comes down or...
