Recertified: OLEVIA 37" 720p LCD HDTV LT-37HVS

Do you like play lottery? Buiyng refurb Olevia you defenetely do. Keep it in your mind. Olevia management don't understand what techsupport means, and how to use techsupport to make profit instead of losing in sales and getting angry clients.

Nice TV with good image

Techsupport: when my TV was out of warranty (its happend 3 months later after 90-days warantee expired), it load constant beep noise periodically. Month later TV cease working. The problem was with defected computer microsheme (I called in specialist)....

Great image, passable audio, and a few quirks

It's possible that subsequent firmware updates have addressed the stereo audio and HD input sharpness problems. I don't have the equipment needed to try updating mine. I've had a very difficult time adjusting the contrast/brightness to appropriate...

Properly adjusted, the image displayed is of quite high quality. The cabinet is attractively designed. The price is consistently low relative to its competitors. The slide-out compartment on the remote hides the less commonly accessed functions and...

The speakers are inadequate for anything larger than a moderately sized room, especially with hard (tile/wood) floors. The audio decoder on the TV tuner is broken. Music and other complex sounds produce a choppy/echoed quality when stereo audio is...

Defective

Hopefully their replacement will work better when I get it.

Looked great when it worked(for a few minutes). Remote worked fine

The TV made a load constant beep noise every 10 minutes or so that scared everyone in the house. Also made lots of popping sounds and a blue box kept flickering on the screen. DEFECTIVE

Fantastic

This TV is well worth the money and trust me when I say olevia will be around for a long time making big splashes with there TV's.

Well i must say for a refurbished TV this comes as new as you can get it. Not a scatch on it. The pictureis great and you can not find a LCD TV with PIP and SPLIT SCREEN for this price. It has 10 different outlets to plug things into and the picture is...

The remote sucks big time. You really have to point it directly at the TV to make it work

Olevia Black 37" 16:9 LCD HDTV

Aside from the sharpness issue - which sounds worse than it is - I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Supposedly Syntax is aware of the issue and has a fix but I haven't followed up on that yet, just because it hasn't bothered me that much. Besides...

Sturdy Packaging ; Solid Construction ; Easy to setup and configure ; Gorgeous picture and color ; Useful features and settings ; Perfect for Next-Gen or PC gaming ; Reasonable Price

Cheap, unresponsive, delicate remote ; Sharpness settings; Internet research shows that there is a prevalent issue with this model HDTV: the sharpness needs to be adjusted by 1 every time the set is turned on or the input is changed. For some reason,...

Great Product

If you're worried this seems like too good a deal then don't. Sometimes things aren't too good to be true, in this case they are more than true. You won't be disapointed.

Pretty much everything. The tv itself is beautiful. The picture couldn't be any better, and for those of you who are gamers and want to know if your 360 will be used to it's full potential with this tv, look no further. I'm still working on getting my...

I guess the remote. You really do have to be aiming directly at the tv. but it's not that big of a hassle to me really. The way my chair sets i'm pretty much directly across from the sensor anyway. Only other thing i've found is the sound sometimes...

Excellent HD TV for the price

I've noticed 'popping' or 'creaking' sounds as the TV heats up. I don't know if all LCDs do this, but it's a little strange. Anybody else experience this? Without these strange sounds I'd give this TV a 5 rating.

Inexpensive, great picture, only one dead pixel. This is my first HD purchase and I am pleased with the results. Once you go HD, you can't go back

Not to beat a dead horse, but the remote sucks. I didn't notice right away, but the bottom half of the remote slides down for more remote commands! The options menu isn't too user friendly. A lot of settings are buried in other settings
