Samsung HL72A650 72-inch DLP HDTV Review and Prices

Ask any couple if a TV is too big, and chances are one answer (usually the guy's) will be "never." The Samsung HL72A650 is a set with a massively large screen, yet somehow doesn't feel all that overwhelming. While it is just slightly more than...

Small footprint for such a huge screen, reasonably deep black levels, HDMI 1.3

Underpowered speakers, lackluster standard definition

Worth the Money

Great picture and totally worth the money. Samsung knows how to make themselves a good display.

Great picture so far. Have mine hooked up to my PS3. So good in fact that unless you have a nice HD signal the picture looks kind of bad. But that is a signal problem. Nice and light and easy to move...just need 2 people since too wide for one. Takes a...

Bulb does eventually run out but that is the case with every light bulb out there.

No more Samsung for me!!

For some strange reason I believed the shadow at only 1" would correct itself and even thought it was my HDMI cable/input or HD converter. As a result I waited until the shadow grew bigger and porked myself out of the warranty period. After many,many...

Worked great for the first 9 months

Purchased HLR5078W in 3/06. Unit was stricken with a shadow consuming 8" of the LH side of screen by 2/07. The shadow started out at 1" and progressively grew to 8 ; Problem 1: collapsed light tunnel ; (there is currently a class action suit for this...

Nice TV

If I had known what I know now, I would have gotten a LCD or plasma TV.

Fantastic picture (but only when viewing TV straight on), easy to use remote with back lighting.

Slow to turn on, closed captioning doesn't work when connected to my cable service, dark picture when viewing from angle, lamp life only 1 - 3 years.
