Samsung PN50B650 50-inch LCD

The Samsung PN50B650 isn't just a capable HDTV; its ethernet connection turns it into a multimedia machine, with access to online video, news and weather reports, and the photos and music stored on your PC. And with an estimated street price of $1200...

Great Internet and networking tools ; Wide viewing angle ; Low price ; Terrific remote control

Doesn't handle motion well ; Power hog when on

The Samsung PN50B650 is a great choice if you want to combine the variety of Internet video with the comfort of watching TV.

Samsung PNB650 review: Samsung PNB650

Samsung PNB650

Reproduces deep black levels; accurate color with superb saturation, properly handles 1080p/24 sources; uses less power than previous 1080p plasmas; extensive feature set with Yahoo widgets, network streaming and built-in content; solid connectivity...

Somewhat expensive; glitch in 1080p/24 mode causes picture setting change; frame's red coloration not for everyone; no S-Video inputs.

Samsung's PNB650 series can't quite match the best plasmas on the market, but it comes close enough to offer a viable alternative.

Review: Samsung PN50B650 HDTV

Samsung's PN50B650 isn't just a capable HDTV; its ethernet connection turns it into a multimedia machine.

Great Internet and networking tools ; Wide viewing angle ; Terrific remote control

Power hog when on ; Doesn't handle motion well

The PN50B650 performed well in our lab's image-quality tests. Aside from its results on a Wheel of Fortune clip, which I found a bit oversaturated, the set generally scored well for brightness, contrast, and color, with pleasing and natural-looking...

Samsung PN50B650

Samsung PN50B650 is a 50″ with full 1080p resolution at a midrange price. As with most plasmas the PN50B650 produces deep and detail rich black levels with an overall great color reproduction. The colors are well saturated without being overblown …

Near Perfect!

I spent countless hours researching and watching Lcd,Led and Plasma screens. I found Plasma to be the best overall picture. Deep blacks, color depth, motion and viewing angle are superior. The B650 series has the best specs of all in it's class. I love...

Picture quality, great features, 18 Bit Color Spectrum, swivel glass stand, 3000000 to 1 contrast, low glare screen, picture fit to screen feature, motion quality(600 Hz), etc

Sorry about the lengthy review. Otherwise none

Awesome TV

Awesome picture on both standard and HiDef TV. It's particularly impressive that such a large screen should be so forgiving of poor quality standard def TV. And the HD pictures are stunning ; The internet connectivity is cool if not entirely necessary....

The Slideshow software is a little clunky and could do with another couple of revisions to make it more friendly - particularly if you have *lots* of photos. Nice feature that's not quite ready for prime time ; It would be nice if it swung a little...

Can't go wrong here

With a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, this tv easily blows any lcd out of the water for picture quality and the fact that it uses close to the same amount of electricity makes this purchase a no-brainer! If you want to spend twice as much on the...

Zero issues with ghosting or motion judder. Superb contrast ratio! I use an LG 5.1 Upconvert dvd player on it and it is very sharp and clear. Very deep blacks. Lots of controls to mod your picture. Comes with a couple anti-burn in screen protection...

I got a little man cave with no windows and this baby, along with my pc, can heat up the room very quickly! Also, the burn in thing is a little annoying. It doesn't last long, but still bothers me a bit! Like the one guy said, turn down the...

Actually a Great Flat Screen All The Way Around

I've owned a 50" Panasonic Plasma since 2005, was CNet's Editors Choice. Wanted to check out the 1080p and Cinema Smooth. First issue I want to address is buzzing. No buzzing at all! Once again, no buzzing at all!! If you put your ear to the top of...

Great picture, even out of the box ; Easy to and many tweaks ; Great looking, touch of color.... real class ; Burn-in function ; Plenty of "Nice to Have(s)"/Gadgets, Internet, Widgets, etc

Putting the set in the stand a little demanding, but of course, I'm an old man. Put the panel on two chairs with a large gap in the center and have a third person slip the stand on and tighten down ; In operation, haven't really found anything, but if...

Fairly happy

I noticed two circle size indents a little smaller then the size of a dime on both the left and right sides of the case in the same spot. Not from the exterior but seems like it under the plastic and is only noticeable if light hits it a certain way....

Great connectivity...have not tried the internet on tv yet cause I have a PS3. Was looking at LED's but I bought it after realizing that I like it more then the newest LED's screens at a much more reasonable price

I thought I got a good price but even BB had a tag of only $899...on black friday not sure if you could have actually even bought one. The glass base gets awfully dusty quickly

Great quality

I used Cnet's settings and it looks great! Spent a few weeks looking at TVs at local stores before I decided on a plasma. The glass type on the front made this the best choice as I have a small child that i'm 100% would have ruined a lcd screen.

Great looking, good blacks, no ghosting, good price, full HD.. Should I keep going
