Samsung LE46A756 46in LCD TV

We liked the 50in 7-Series plasma, so how does Samsung's 46in 7-Series LCD TV shape up?

The LE46A756's lovely design proves to be an entirely appropriate portal into a world of LCD picture quality that's up there with the very best we've seen. What's more, the set's feature count is as prodigious as it is groundbreaking, and its price...

Samsung LE46A786 review

Samsung's '786 certainly has possibilities, but lacks that X-Factor to gain top marks

Great looks ; vibrant, detailed and sharp pictures ; deep blacks combine with fairly punchy whites ; nice sound delivery

Struggles to find black detail ; some tough competition

It gets close to five stars, but this stylish Samsung just lacks that something special

Samsung LE46A756 review

A premium product, and it's priced accordingly – this Samsung is well worth a look

Fine specification, including DNLA compatibility ; excellent images

Can sacrifice some sharpness ; can’t muster true black

A premium product, and it’s priced accordingly

Samsung introduces the Series 7 range of LCD TVs to the UK

Outstanding black level response ; Incredible contrast ratio ; 100Hz processing

Optional edge enhancement mode creates artefacts

A fantastically featured TV with some truly awesome black levels

Samsung LE40A786 'smart LED' 40in LCD TV

Ocean-cool, glossy looks and an outstanding picture make this Samsung highly desirable.

If we've harped on about the picture quality being good, it's because it is. HD imagery comes over very well thanks to the array of LEDs, and this on its own, without the delights of a palatable screen frame, decent sound and largely accessible...

Samsung LE46A786

Its not perfect, but in some respects this is the best flat panel TV we have come across ..

With sublime black levels, the Samsung LE46A786 has set a bench mark for flat panel performance. High Definition is a revelation, Standard Definition not so, while refining some of the problems associated with LCD in this respect, they have not been...

Samsung LE40A786 Review

As one of the world leaders in LCD technology, it's not surprising that Samsung's range of LCD TVs contains an intimidating number of models. The company has so many flat screen televisions, sometimes with only small variations, that it can be...

Quality LCD panel, Backlight control, and LED backlighting system allow for a contrast-rich, deep image ; Exquisite high-definition detail from “Full Pixel” 1:1 pixel mapping ; Decent video deinterlacing and film cadence detection ; Handles 1080p/60...

Glossy LCD panel reflects ambient light and causes glare, and can be hard to clean without leaving smudges ; Combing/interlacing issue on virtually all types of input signal, even 1080p ; Unusually high level of input lag may be an issue for gamers ;...

The Samsung LE40A786 is an interesting display, not only because it features the still-elusive LED backlighting system, but also because it features some strange issues which we very rarely encounter on HDTV displays.

Samsung LE40A786

Sleek and good looking, very good picture quality.

HD transmission not as good as expected, shadowing effect not only on fast moving sports programmes, but also on other programmes.
