Samsung Series 9 review (15-inch, mid-2012)

The Series 9 dazzles with its performance and striking design, but a machine this pricey deserves a comfier keyboard and even nicer display.

Remarkably thin and light for its sizeLong battery life, fast performanceBright, matte display

Shallow keyboard, so-so trackpadNarrow viewing anglesUnimpressive audio for the money

Hundreds of executives have signed the open letter in support of DACA.

Samsung LE52M87BD 52in LCD TV

Samsung's second try at a Full HD TV is a definite improvement.

Although we finished our assessment of the Samsung LE52M87BD’s pictures on a bum note, and have to say too that its audio talents aren't quite as powerful as such a large, movie-friendly TV really deserves, we still openly admit to loving this TV to bits.

Samsung LE-52M87BD review

Possibly the prettiest TV ever, but is its beauty skin deep?

Great Pictures ; Loaded with features and connections ; Gorgeous looks

Motion handling issues ; Tendency for noise

Jaw-dropping pictures and an outstanding features count to match

Samsung LE52M87BDX Review: 52" Full HD 1080p LCD TV Test

It's nearing the end of its life cycle, with Samsung having recently announced its new LED backlit range for USA, which will no doubt be coming out here shortly as well, but Samsung were kind enough to send us a review sample for their current flagship...

By far the best black level I have seen for an LCD ; Extremely high calibrated contrast of nearly 1700:1 ; Superb detail with high definition ; Plenty of menu options for calibration ; 3x HDMI 1.3 ports, supporting xvYCC ; Per-input settings ;...

Skewed gamma makes shadow details hard to make out, particularly with analogue inputs ; The Super Clear panel is extremely reflective; you will be looking at yourself in dark scenes ; Very poor handling of RGB ; Scaling causes ringing around objects ;...

The Samsung LE52M87BDX is hard to recommend. It does do some things very well - it produces a nice vivid image with high definition and videogames, has plenty of calibration options, and the best blacks I have seen for LCD so far. However, it is...

Samsung LE52M87BD

If there's a TV out there right now with more up-front appeal than Samsung's LE52M87BD, then we can't think of it. It's a vision in gloss black, and at 52 inches it's the biggest LCD Samsung has done to date

Peerless black level for an LCD, Good connections, Superbly crisp colours and bright picture

Some issues with motion handling

Further proof that the old plasma v LCD arguments are becoming less and less relevant. It's certainly not perfect, but it's one of the finest big-screen LCDs we've seen to date

Samsung LE52M87BDX/Xeu

Great picture and great design- looks fab even when it is turned off. The size of the screen makes it feel like you are at the cinema.

It has a lot of features that will take a lot of time to figure out(which I don't have a lot of) if that can be cosidered a bad point?
