Samsung Q60B TV Review: Slim, Stylish and Surprisingly Bright

Samsung's 2022 QLED workhorse shines in bright rooms and with HDR, although some other brands provide better value.

Sleek design and excellent remote ; Bright image with solid contrast ; Informative status screen for gaming

More expensive than competing TVs with better picture quality ; Cluttered smart TV menus

The Samsung Q60/Q60B QLED is the entry-level QLED in Samsung's 2022 lineup. It sits below the Samsung Q70/Q70B QLED, and it replaces the Samsung Q60/Q60A QLED fr...

Displays clear text with any signal. Low input lag. Incredible black uniformity. Great SDR peak brightness. Easy-to-use Tizen smart platform. No issues upscaling lower-resolution content. High native contrast for deep blacks.

Narrow viewing angle. Noticeable motion blur. Lacks a local dimming feature. No VRR support. Highlights don't pop in HDR. Limited to HDMI 2.0 bandwidth.

The Samsung Q60B is decent overall. It's good for watching movies in dark rooms because it displays deep blacks and has incredible black uniformity but lacks a local dimming feature. It's also good for watching TV shows or sports in bright rooms as it...

Samsung Q60B QLED TV Review

Samsung's most affordable QLED TV of the year is here. Is it worth it?

Decent dark-room performer ; Bright enough for casual viewing ; Easy-to-setup design

Not cut out for next-gen gaming ; Narrow viewing angle ; HDR performance is lacking

Samsung Q60B review: a cheap QLED TV with great brightness, but compromises

Turns out Quantum Dots can't always save the day

High brightness levels ; Rich colors ; Premium-looking super-slim design

Contrast is limited ; Motion can look awkward ; No Dolby Vision support

The Samsung Q60B gives us a bright, colorful reminder of just how effective QLED can be for elevating relatively simple TV tech into something that looks appealing. It also reveals, though, that doing Quantum Dots on the cheap can come with some...

Samsung QE55Q60B review

Samsung's cheapest 55-inch Quantum Dot TV doesn't quite nail it

Impressive slimline design ; Bright, colourful pictures ; Good 4K sharpness

Black level limitations ; A few motion issues ; No 4K/120 or VRR support

Limited black levels prevent the QE55Q60B’s promising spec from translating into the class-leading pictures we’d hoped for
