Samsung Q800T 8k QLED Review (QN65Q800TAFXZA, QN75Q800TAFXZA, QN82Q800TAFXZA)

The Samsung Q800T is a new TV in Samsung's 2020 8k QLED lineup and it's sold as the Samsung Q850T at Costco. It has all the features found on other high-end TVs ...

Great wide color gamut. Upscales 720p and 1080p content properly. Decent viewing angles. Incredibly low input lag. Excellent HDR peak brightness. Removes judder from any source. Full-array local dimming. Easily gets bright enough to combat glare....

Uniformity issues. Disappointing out-of-the-box color accuracy. Low contrast ratio for a VA panel.

The Samsung Q800T is a great TV for most uses. It gets bright and it has impressive reflection handling if you watch TV during the day. It's a good choice for movies due to its full-array local dimming and it doesn't have any issues upscaling 480p,...

Review: Samsung Q800T (QE75Q800T) | Samsung's 8K TV Is Extremely Good! Samsung Q800T (QE75Q800T)

With its superb sharpness, the Samsung Q800T gives a strong taste of the TV technology of the future.

Samsung Q800T delivers very high image quality, where of course it is the 8K sharpness that impresses the most. In addition, both contrast and black level are very convincing.

Samsung has saved a bit on the equipment in some places, and it's a shame that a TV in this class does not support the HDR format Dolby Vision, or advanced calibration modes such as CalMAN AutoCal.

TV with 8K resolution has so far been for those who are particularly interested, with little real advantage over already good 4K TVs. With the introduction of i.a. YouTube in 8K quality, however, some important important pieces fall into place, which...

Samsung Q800T (QE65Q800T) review: Samsung's cheaper 8K TV really offers better-than-4K performance

The Samsung Q800T has bright detailed pictures, remarkable black levels and is ideal for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Samsung Q800T 8K QLED TV review

If you've found yourself thinking that you wouldn't mind an 8K TV – if only they weren't so expensive – the Samsung Q800T could be the TV you've been waiting for.

Impressive 8K resolution Outstanding upscaling Terrific audio performance Mostly compelling smart system

Local dimming sometimes distracts More expensive than 4K No Dolby Vision support Colours occasionally lack punch

While Samsung’s bid to make 8K more affordable inevitably comes with one or two strings attached, the 65Q800T remains an excellent premium TV that really can make its 8K difference count – even with sub-8K content.

Great picture quality

Rich from the Leicester branch went above and beyond to secure a good deal and was very helpful. TV is a lot brighter than expected, good tv but be sure that your room is big enough. Watched Life of Pi on this and the quality is incredible.

Love the Samsung 82Inch

So pleased with Steve and his team at Reading Richer Sounds. They really took the time to listen to me and ask a load of questions. The TV is up on the wall, connected to 5.1 and the look, sound and feel is awesome.

Superb picture & excellent immersive sound

Still getting to grips with it, but a noticeable improvement on my four year old 65” LG OLED65E6V which is now consigned to a bedroom. Picture quality is superb and there is a discernible difference from 4K to 8K up scaling such that I believe that...
