Samsung Series 8 (UA46B8000) LED TV

Samsung's 46in Series 8 (UA46B8000) LED TV is the most 'complete' television we've seen so far: it offers Internet and network connectivity, multimedia playback features and LED backlighting.

Great Media@2.0 features, vibrant picture, ultra-modern styling, adjustable 200Hz mode ;

Backlight clouding under specific conditions, can't easily use analog connectors when wall-mounted ;

The Samsung Series 8 (UA46B8000) LED television delivers good picture quality and has plenty of connectivity options and a bundled on-board content library. Despite its occasional backlight problems we're happy to recommend it

Excellent picture quality ; Great design ; Impressive sound quality from a thin TV

The Series 6 might be slightly better value ; EPG is slow to load and navigate

The 2011 edition of Samsung's Series 8 plasma is, as we'd expected, an impressive piece of technology. Its sound and visuals are great, and the inclusion of various 'Smart TV' features makes the Series 8 a useful multimedia device as well as a...

Samsung's top LED includes voice and gesture control - is this the best TV for 2012?

Excellent picture quality in HD and SD ; Useful video sharing and apps ; Striking design

Voice and motion features aren't perfect ; Interface feels slightly slow ; No huge advances in picture quality since 2011

Samsung's best 2012 LED TV is a strong performer for picture quality and design, and it has some interesting technical advancements in the form of voice and motion recognition. On its own, the Series 8 TV is a high quality device. Picture quality isn't...

Samsung Series 8 3D plasma TV (preview)

Samsung's Series 8 plasma TV is thin, pretty and comes with a touchscreen remote control

Super-thin bezel, amazing styling

It's probably going to be expensive...

We're very keen to take a look at Samsung's newest Series 8 LED television when it hits Australian shores. With styling that's a mix of 2010's Series 7 and Series 9 LED sets, it has LED edge-lighting hidden behind its super-thin bezels as well as 3D...
