The Samsung F6400 series of edge-lit HDTVs deliver a sharp picture with dark blacks and vibrant colors. Features are abundant, but the screen doesn't get very bright and the Smart Touch remote can be tricky to master.

Dark black levels. Strong feature set. Solid 2D and 3D image quality.

Tricky remote. Voice recognition is erratic. Low brightness levels.

From the best viewing position, I see excellent black levels on this LED TV. The black letter box bars on the Days of Thunder Blu-ray are deep inky black. Other dark areas of the screen show just as strong performance without too much loss of detail...

Blu-ray are deep inky black. Other dark areas of the screen show just as strong performance without too much loss of detail. Blacks are not as stout as the best Plasma TVs, but for a mid level LED TV they are strong. Contrast has a great showing here...
