I Want Another One But Can't Find Now!

Everything for my needs

I can't find a second one

Looks Like They've Downgraded

Sceptre was kind enough to honor the warranty a few days after the warranty ran out the first time I had to RMA. Yet, with the product itself failing more than once, I cannot give them more than 2 eggs. Only worth repairing if you already had the parts...

Rocked face while it actually worked ; New cheaper version. Cheaper even than the repair and shipping costs after the warranty runs out. Though I would prefer if it just kept on working

Had RMAed after several months because all three inputs stopped responding (See below). Received the monitor back in perfect working order, yet several months later (for a total of 2 years now) it has a new problem with one of the boards ; Downgrade...

A fair monitor

Might buy again. You get what you pay for...

1680x1050 resolution, good brightness, interesting stand I put my spare change there in that oval. Seemed pretty solid overall

Slightly blotchy backlight when playing movies with dark scenes. Worked fine for 2.5 years before the backlight burned out

Great picture quality and it takes a beating

Great quality picture, and it's durable, my 4 year old constantly beats on this item and smears jelly on it, cleaned it plenty of times, no picture issues yet and it still works

Doesn't clean itself

Worth The Money

Spend a few more bucks and get the bigger one, I'm sure all of their products are just as good as the next.

I bought this when it first hit the market around $300 and I've had it for almost 5 years now and the picture is still going strong. Never had a problem with it whatsoever. Good brand and good quality products

The base for this product seems flimsy, as if the monitor will fall, but it will not fall. It is very sturdy and will keep it upright on the cheapest put together desks like mine

Decent utility monitor, but newer models offer better value

Probably not such a good buy these days (August 2009), when you can get a newer design 21" or 22" LCD for about the same price.

Relatively cheap when purchased (11/2007), lightweight, clear vivid screen with no production defects

(1) Lightweight, even flimsy (though this isn't too uncommon these days); (2) more backlight bleeding than other monitors I've used, but is OK for office tasks; (3) Died after 20 months of light use in a clean environment

Poor Power Supply capacitors

If I had to guess, I would say that Sceptre got a bad run of capacitors, and that's why the blinking LED/clicking scenario is happening frequently to this model. It wasn't hard to fix, but only if you have soldering skills and a healthy respect for the...

Overall, the display is what I was looking for; vivid color, crisp lines, good refresh rate. Games looked great, and it is easy on the eyes for daily use as well. Ran great for about 18 months

After 18 months, I got the "blinking power LED, click every few seconds" scenario. In order to shut it off I had to pull the power plug. No matter what I tried, when powering up it would end up with a blinking power LED and the regular clicking....

Unacceptable faliure rate

I am trying to get the Sceptre tech support to replace my latest failure even though it is out of warranty. However it has been several days since I sent them proof of all of my failures and I have not heard back.

Cheap 20" wide screen, good image quality

I have had 4 of these fail in the past two years of ownership! I also have one that preiodically looses it's color settings and I have to go into the menu to change it back to an acceptable viewing level
