Bought this in October and have used it every day since. It looks pretty good with the thin bezel and the understated red and blue LEDs for on and off (they're diffused so they don't distract while viewing). It works great as a TV, but I also use it as...

1080P ; Light weight ; Good colors and brightness ; CHEAP ; Little screen reflection ; VESA mountable

Sound isn't fantastic but is no worse than other flat LEDs or Plasmas (very usable) ; Might be cheaply made, but so far has stood up great to daily use

Review for Sceptre X409BV-FHR

 

I bought three of these sets. None of them have dead or stuck pixels. They arrived unharmed and in working condition. I mounted two of them side by side on a rail system that lifts them from behind a couch in a motorhome. I didn't want expensive TVs...

1080i in the size I needed. Works great at 1080i. Works OK from the PC connection from an old AMD 785G Phenom II X3 Windows 7 computer. See cons

Doesn't adapt well to changes in screen resolution from the HDMI out of the Windows computer. Linux HDMI can't be sized properly on screen. When I first boot the Windows machine, the screen flashes on and off. To solve it, I just turn it off and back...

Sceptre 39 inch HDTV

 

I have owned a Sceptre HDTV for 8 months...It is a Fantastic TV..If you add a good Soundbar...You will have a Electrifying System!!!

It is a great 39 inch HDTV.....This one I bought it for a Friend....I built my friend a whole TV system...I even built him a TV stand..I already owned a Scpetre HDTV..They have really great Video..It is well engineered...I bought my Sceptre HDTV about...

You could have to go to the store and buy a Universal Remote...But it is a great TV anyway..Fantastic..Buy it anyway

Affordable TV

 

Originally I got this TV for my kid at Cal State LA but it worked out so well I've decided to keep it myself and get him another one since the price is so cheap. I got my son's xbox one hooked up ready for Destiny along with my direct tv for my HBO...

Super affordable, tons of connections, so many I’m confused, shows just as good as my other TVs ( I own a Samsung 6 series and a Vizio XVT), and I like how the borders are really thin

Built in speakers not that great, confusing buttons at the bottom, really light weight

Dissapointed

 

I purchased a 40' Sceptre brand last year and it operates correctly to this day. Since I had great luck with this brand before, I thought I would buy another one of a different model. This time I am questioning this brand's quality. Maybe I got lucky...
