Yes, it's happened again - once again Sony has produced what in theory should be a good TV, except for those backlighting problems that is...

Solid, stable picture ; good definition and detail ; natural colours

Inconsistent backlight and bleed in the corners ; pricey compared to rival screens

A good TV held back by backlight issues – cheaper, superior options can be found

Great picture on HD and SD sources Sound surprisingly good Looks great on or off

Wireless internet requires separate dongle - why not built in? Slight delay on startup before menus, channel selection work Fussy about video formats on USB sticks

Easy to set up -- loved the WiFi connectivity built in. Lightweight and easy to position in an awkward place. Cable ties were a nice touch.

Sound quality is dreadful. However, have hooked up a Sony BDVEF200.CEK 2.1ch 3D Blu-Ray Disc/DVD Home Cinema 350W, BRAVIA Internet Video Enhancer and it transformed my experience.

The TV is good looking, and manual controls are hidden yet acessible if needed. Picture and sound are good quality, and the variety of sound types is useful.

No hard copy manual [thus a low score for 'ease of use'] I often find it difficult to figure out what to do when I go beyond the obvious and regular features, even with the 'manual' on my netbook screen alongside]. Cannot turn off the feature whereby...

Superb screen. Comprehensive set up options, once you've worked out how to use them. Good looking and slim. Excellent freeview tuner. Cannot comment accurately on sound as I don't normally use the tv speakers.

A little complex to use - but simplifying would be difficult without loosing features. "Internet ready" an annoyingly misleading term as other parts are needed to facilitate this.

Slim form format, even a big screen is not imposing in the room Easy to use controls Good quality picture

Sound quality is not great Lack of ITV player and other UK channels on the Internet video is annoying.
