Sony have created a flat panel TV that is very good in most areas and excellent in some. The new stylistic touches will alienate some Sony fans, but others will be attracted by the cutting-edge design and fine picture performance.

Fast response of disc to start,stop etc commands

Complex remote control. Some buttons never get used. The button layout is different to that on my Beavia TV and causes confusion. The TV controls are a bit rudimentary, only up down for programme change.

Excellent picture quality

Took quite a while to navigate the installation instructions - I wanted to change the order of programes

Neat, crisp design with no useless casing areas. Simple to set up initially. Excellent HD picture. All main controls work well with a Sky hand zapper. I got a good deal when purchased so definitely value for money

Has a minor irritation in that it resets itself to Analogue TV sometimes without any apparent reason. Sound volume control is graduated 0 to over 60 but volume rise stops at around 40 so not recommended for use by the deaf! All major adjustments need...
