Sony Bravia KDL40Z4500

Australia's first TV with a 200Hz mode.

Great 200Hz motion mode, excellent contrast and blacks, DLNA certified, good SD performance for a 1080p screen

Some annoying judder when not running Motion Flow, default Cinema setting may be too soft for some

Sony's Bravia KDL40Z4500 is a fantastic Full HD TV. It's Australia's first 200Hz television and it provides an excellent Motion Flow mode; the real faults we could find with it were a question of personal taste.

Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 review

Sony's 40Z4500 is a pricey but solid performer that's fairly run-of-the-mill

Nicely naturalistic pictures ; Solid all-round performance

Slightly high price ; Mildly unadventurous execution

A generally solid, but ultimately rather unexciting set that's unlikely to set movie fans' hearts aflutter

Sony KDL-40Z4500

This Sony delivers a fine flatscreen picture and excellent sound; arguably best in class

Super smooth with action scenes ; crisp, detailed image ; beefy sound for a flatscreen ; a delight to use

Some of Sony's sets are less, and almost as good

Sony KDL-40Z4500 review

Sony's flagship LCD is the first 200Hz TV we've tested. Does it live up to the hype?

Not cheap, but a very fine TV with amazing black depth for an LCD

Sony KDL-40Z4500

An excellent LCD TV but not the technological leap forward we had hoped for ..

Although the 200Hz does not entirely convince, the KDL-40Z4500 is actually an excellent LCD TV in all areas. Are only concern is the relatively high price.

Sony KDL40W4500 / KDL40W4500U Review

In Sony's efforts to expand their LCD TV empire by catering to buyers with different requirements and budgets, they have come up with more range and models of Bravia LCD televisions than you can shake a stick at. We have tested the latest W4500 series,...

The deep blacks, accurate colours and low input lag on Sony’s latest high-end (W series and above) LCD HDTVs need no further praise, so we’re left to comment on the Sony KDL40Z4500's 200Hz Motionflow implementation.

Sony KDL-40Z4500

The only draw back to this TV is, no manner of updating the firmware, I have experienced intermitten picture and sound problems with the HDMI ports, I have all my HDMI devices connected through my Sony surround system.

Sony KDL-40Z4500

Very good picture quality, and good sound even when cinema system isn't engaged.

The only 'fault' I can think of is the slow start up after switching on the TV, but only because the 'save energy' option is selected!
