By adding the likes of BBC iPlayer, LED backlighting and nifty ultra-slim designs, the last few years have seen some mightily impressive bigscreen TVs for the living room, but what about the bedrooms and kitchen?

Sound at low volume is good, and there are plenty of options to alter the sound output, but it is still not as good as I would expect and not as good as the model I replaced

Excellent picture in Freeview HD, acceptable in SD. Wireless internet connection works well. Has a digital optical output, which is excellent and hard to find in smaller TVs.

Poor on-board sound quality (however, I use the optical out and feed a Denon mini hi-fi). Internet keyboard input via the remote is very clunky. TV is slow to start - channel changing, menus, etc. not available for up to 30 seconds after switching on.

Picture is much better than our previous Sony Tv and we have found it reasonably easy to play CDs / DVDs on our connected Sony specialist players. Sound is not the very best - loudspeakers are a bit compromised by positioning and outlet - but plays our...

Initially, we found the Freeview system a bit difficult to master. Our old Freeview was extremely easy to operate but, then, it didn't offer so many facilities / options. We still would like to know the best way of leaving the Freeview text notes...
