Sony KDL-32HX753

Can Sony's new HX753 series continue the run of form kicked off by the outstanding HX853s?

Crosstalk-light 3D pictures, Excellent online features, Can work well in a dark environment

Black levels not great with most picture settings, Pictures lack dynamism, Input lag

Bigger is definitely better for Sony's latest 46in TV.

Good 3D pictures ; Good value ; Surprisingly strong black level performance

Surprisingly chunky design ; Calibrated pictures not the brightest ; No 3D glasses included

Sony KDL-32HX753 review

Best 32in TV, Awards 2012. Across-the-board quality, from menus to motion handling

Stylish design ; intuitive menus ; extensive Smart TV content ; brilliant motion handling ; excellent colour balance

3D glasses not included ; white balance could be punchier

Best 32in TV, Awards 2012. The Sony does everything you need and performs superbly: an excellent all-rounder

Sony KDL-40HX753 review

Smart TV with a corporate feel on this good value, though average, Edge LED TV

Video app selection ; Cinematic Blu-ray pictures ; Impressively clean 3D ; Colours ; Laid-back 'easel' design

Repetitive user interface ; Average upscaling ; No MKV support ; No 3D glasses included

Forget like.no.other and make.believe; less.is.more should be Sony's new motto if this 40-incher from its HX7 Series is anything to go by.

Sony KDL-46HX753 review

Sony has hit the performance/price ratio spot on with this impressive TV

Looks, build, finish ; ample spec at the price ; tremendous picture-making ability, with black tones a real highlight

Sounds frankly poor ; contrasts could be starker ; so-so DVD upscaling

The performance/price ratio is all in the consumer’s favour here – the HX753 needs to be seen

Sony KDL-32HX753 review

Can its mid-range smart TV continue Sony's resurgence?

Potentially good 2D ; Crosstalk-free 3D ; Excellent online features ; Fair value

Input lag gaming issue ; Poor Home menu ; Pictures not the brightest ; Backlight inconsistency

In the nick of time, Sony has finally got its flatscreen TV act together, delivering with its flagship HX853 series arguably the best-performing LCD TVs ever. So it's with real enthusiasm that we take receipt of the first model from the brand's new...

Can Sony recreate the magic of its bigger TV sets further down the screen size scale? We test the 32in HX753 to find out

Smooth, crisp picture ; Great selection of TV streaming apps ; Visually appealing

32in may not be enough for some

The HX753 gives you bags of Smart features, stunning picture and a nice price for a 32in screen

Also available is the 40in KDL-HX753 (£899), 46in KDL-46H753 (£1199) and 55in KDL-55HX753 (£1549). Value for money definitely improves as you step up in screen size.

The Sony KDL-32HX753 is an expensive, undeniably stylish Freeview telly with a fine feature spread. The amount of streaming content available from Sony's online entertainment portal is dizzying, and HD picture quality is solid. If you like sports...

Sony HX753 (KDL-55HX753) 3D LED LCD TV Review

Will Sony's return to form continue with the HX753? We get our second look at the 2012 Bravia range.

Excellent contrast ; Rich blacks - with dynamic contrast enabled ; Very accurate colours out-of-the-box ; Reference greyscale and colour when calibrated ; Plenty of Video on Demand content ; Price is realistic

Cloudy blacks - with contrast enhancer off ; Panel banding evident on light colours ; 3D glasses need to be kept totally level ; SEN content/apps need to be unified
