Performance

Sony KF-WE610

Black-level performance on a par with DLP TVs'; slim, light, and stylish design; excellent feature package.

Black-level performance is still not quite as good as that of CRT-based RPTVs; lacks independent memory per input; expensive.

A huge leap forward in performance for LCD rear-projection TVs, the newest Grand WEGA line gives DLP a run for its money.

KF-60WE610

I got this set as a result of Sony's failed attempt at a good 40" XBR set, which I returned after it could not be fixed to my satisfaction. I searched for a replacement for that set for about three months, and looked at every RPTV technology available...

Perfect picture geometry, very bright picture, non-glare screen surface, immune to screen burn-in, good remote, light weight for it's size, nice cabinet design

Somewhat gray black level - not true black like a good CRT, tubby sounding speaker system, consumable bulbs that cost $250 apiece

Sony Grand Wega KF-50WE610

Sony has settled on LCD as its rear-projection technology of choice—at least until it can bring its new SXRD (LCoS) devices way down in price. (See the May 2004 SGHT for a full review of the Qualia 004, Sony's flagship SXRD front projector.) The...

Sony KDL40WE663BU review

  (Rating Hidden)

The Sony KDL-40WE663BU shuns the latest 4K technology in favour of Full-HD, positioning itself as an affordable smart TV. But just how smart is it? How easy is it to use, and how good are the picture and sound? We let our experts loose with the Sony...

Great HDTV, especially after 9 years!!!

Other then my home phone, I have NEVER had a piece of technical equipment that lasted 9 years! I am reminded of that fact today, and felt compelled to share. Enjoy!

Perfect picture with original lamp after 9 years!!! Huge display. The specs are also WAY before their time. The remote I got ^stock^ with my system is even touch-screen!

No HDMI input. This is literally the ONLY down-fall to this machine.

"I've had this tv for 9 years with one bulb."

Sony rocks

Excelent picture. Been shopping and thinking about waiting since all the new LED/LCD tv's have motion blur no matter what Hz rating. I still prefer my picture to that of the new "LED's" i've watched.

no hdmi, just dvi

Sony TC-WE635 Tape Decks

This is no doubt is extremely under-rated deck, I am convinced that this is due to the fact that it is a double cassette deck. Well let me tell you that it has that high-end sound, musical images emerging from a very quiet background(I can see many of...

Sony TC-WE635 Tape Decks

The Tape deck deserve the credits for : great mechanism, design & appearance, features and quality. however it completely fails in providing high output tapes, especially with the "auto record level control" feature which keeps lowering the input signal.
