Sony PlayStation 3D Display

The Sony PlayStation 3D Display's SimulView gaming experience is unique and fun, but limited connectivity, the lack of a remote, and a high price for a small screen size make it a bit of a niche purchase.

Bundled with 3D glasses and the Motorstorm Apocalypse game. SimulView side-by-side 3D gaming feature is clever.

No remote. Few connection and calibration options. 3D glasses are too dark. SimulView not available on many game titles.

Sony PlayStation 3D display review: Sony PlayStation 3D display

Sony PlayStation 3D display

The ; successfully enables two players to see their own individual screens while using SimulView technology, though the display only comes with one pair of 3D glasses. Also included is an HDMI cable and a copy of MotorStorm: Apocalypse.

The display's glare is terrible, as the surface reflects nearly everything in sight. The screen's small 23.5-inch size makes it tough to play at far distances and forces the players to sit nearly shoulder to shoulder to get the right effect. There's no...

While there's some pretty impressive technology built inside, the PlayStation 3D Display isn't a very practical device. Its $500 price tag is too much money considering its laundry list of shortcomings.

Sony PlayStation 3D Display review

When I went to college, not that long ago, I searched high and low for an affordable way to connect my PC and game consoles to the same screen. There weren't many options, because computers' VGA...

Stylish, slim design ; Dual native HDMI 1.4a inputs ; Quality shutter glasses

Ridiculously glossy screen ; Requires a dark room ; Minor annoyances abound

If you don't love stereoscopic 3D, you might do better elsewhere

Sony PlayStation 3D Display review

Sony hopes to bring 3D to the masses with a low-cost Sony PlayStation 3D Display-branded television it announced at E3 in Los Angeles.

The PlayStation 3D display bundle comes with the television, an HDMI cord, Resistance 3 and one set of active shutter glasses for around $500 in the US. It will be available in the third quarter of this year.

Sony PlayStation 3D Display

The PlayStation 3D Display was originally unveiled at E3 2011 as a television built by Sony targeted at gaming fans. Priced at £449, the Sony PlayStation 3D Display has a 23.5-inch 3D and full HD 1080p display, two HDMI inputs, a pair of 3D shutter...

While Sony is to be commended for building a display to gamers it isn’t quite the entertainment behemoth some will have expected. It offers little in the way of extra features, and since its announcement TVs have gone down in price. Looking elsewhere...

One heck of a good deal and works great, got it for $99!!!

I got this on boxing day a while back (not this last year) and its great, I've heard of the problems with it but in 3 years, i haven't encountered anything. I got glasses, a cable and a game with the tv which alone is worth the 99 bucks i spent on it....

Great sound, multiple inputs, great clarity, came with glasses and a game and a hdmi cable!

the screen is shiny so if its bright, its a bit hard to see

Died after 1 month, Blinking Red Light. DO NOT BUY!

I was ecstatic to bring this display home and hook it up to a second 80 GB fat Playstation in the bedroom. It worked fantastically, both with 3D and without. But after 1 month it died. I'd read about the defect, and on some Sony sites it is no longer...

- Great picture - 3D in the home with a small footprint - Slim profile - Multiple inputs - Respectable sound

- No remote (primarily for volume and switching inputs)
