This price is hard to beat

 

I wish I could afford this..

I've been looking at prices on HDTVs all my life (it seems) and this is the best price I have seen on ANY unit. You get the 1080p AND the 42" in the popular 16:9 aspect ratio. They even throw in the 720p for free

720i and 1080i are supported. Worthless technologies. I would like to pay less for a unit that does not include these

1080p resolution, but tv does no support 1080p input.

 

Be careful to read and understand all the specs.

Large, crisp, and vibrant picture. Excellent price. Don't be fooled by lower 800:1 contrast ratio

After an exhauste search through the spec sheet, no where does it say the TV supports 1080p input. So even thought it has a native resolution of 1920x1080... the specs only say 1080i/480p/480i/720p. Toshiba only states the highest end 42" lcd supports...

Picture is vibrant and detailed.

 

Really stood out compared to Sony and Samsung models in the same price range.

Rich and deep colors. Large screen size with excellent clarity typical of a 1080p set. I was quite impressed with the picture when looking at TV's at Sears. The TV looked better than a Sony that was $xxx more. I was seriously considering a Samsung 40"...

Toshiba 42HL196 42 in. HDTV LCD

 

1080 resolution (a must), 2 antenna inputs (cable and local HD broadcasts), computer monitor

LCDs are not quite as bright as plasmas, but can't really tell at home.

Hard to beat for the price

 

Looks great, Works great, 1080p display, Low price, Lots of inputs

Ethernet implementation bad, Ergonomics not stylin' as some, PC support is limited, no 1080p INPUT
