I've owned 4 HDTV's now. Toshiba is what I ended up with

First you must know that this tv has been replaced with the 57H80. It's an upgraded version of the 56". It's an inch bigger and the "feature set" has been upgraded. I first bought the 56H60 last year (2000) right when they came out. I paid too much....

Great way to get started in HDTV

Only can program 30 channel names.

40H80

I have had this tv now for about a year and i can trully say that it has been a worthy investment and has lived up to the hype of the HDTV market. The design is simple and clean and uncomplicated. The Picture quality is excellent and even better when ...

40H80 40 in . Trouble right out of the box

I bought this TV because Toshiba has never let me down before. However, this set has problems and they are the same with most of the reviews I have read on here and also with other sites. And by the way, this is my first review and may I also say that ...

Great picture. Good sound for regular TV viewing. Quite slim for a Projection TV

Shuts off by itself right out of the box! (new)

Excellent entry-level HDTV system

Don't let the "cons" scare you. This was my first HDTV purchase after some time of searching and testing and it's beautiful. It sits at just the right height for couch viewing, but if you prefer your TV to be a bit higher, I might suggest a stand for...

Excellent picture, two HDTV inputs, price (relatively speaking)

Susceptible to "burn-in" and focus problems, viewing angle could be better

What a headache

After researching MANY projection TV’s, I opted for the Toshiba 40H80. Having worked at Best Buy’s video department before, I knew the Toshiba quality reputation and picture quality. The 40H80 was the perfect size for my living room since a...

The WOW factor!

Okay my friends, unlike the other guy who just explains the terms and says it is a nice television. I want to tell you how it truly works. The first thing is that it is an expensive, movie theater. Almost 3500.00 with TTL. Add a surround system with...

This is where the term "Viewing Pleasure" originated!

It is a Big Heavy Television! It will dominate a small living rooms decor.

Toshiba 40H80 versus the 42H81 -- $300 for Two Inches

Picture quality, HD-Ready, TheaterWide modes, remote.

Hard to find closeout model, convergence slightly more complex.
