Vizio's LCD TV finally fulfills its earlier promise

The Vizio E series offers a very good picture for little due to its local-dimming system, but the picture isn't as natural as competing plasmas.

The ; shows deep black levels, a uniform screen, and commendable bright-room performance, making it a solid midlevel LCD TV. The Smart content selection is excellent. With its thin bezel, the set has a more compact, sleeker look than many competitors.

The set's local-dimming system can cause crushing, obscuring shadow detail; the dimming effect can be very obvious on some scenes; the so-called 120Hz refresh rate does nothing to improve picture quality.

The Vizio E series offers picture quality nearing the more expensive M series and is a very good choice if you value its Smarts and styling.

Fairly Decent

If streaming over the network worked I would easily give this 5 stars, I can see it can be patched and updated and I hope that this feature gets some serious attention and is updated in the future.

Good Deal

It was listed as a refurb, but obviously never required refurbishing. Given the discount amount this was an excellent deal. I'm a regular Newegg customer and will remain so as long as I get deals like this.

Works well, good clean image. Setup was easy (did it without manual). Came in original box, but was obviously a display model as it was still in Demo mode when I got it and had some dust on it. All original packaging with exception of owners manual...

Someone stripped out one of the base mount screws, so I had to tap the threads to clean them up before I could complete the mount. This was the reason for the loss of one egg

Great TV

330$ for a 39 inch smart true HD tv? That's also a great brand? It's a steal. 39" is perfect for me, it may be small by other people's standards but if you're sitting <10 feet away from your TV it's a perfect size.

Everything. Great picture, excellent viewing angle, even the sound is good. I'm spoiled that my first flat screen TV is a smart TV, it's connectivity to the internet is a really really nice convenience ; Can't tell it's a refurb, came in the original...
