Vizio E series (2015) review

Today the main question facing TV buyers is: should I spend more to get 4K? The answer is the same as it was late last year : only if you're worried about future-proofing and you're OK not getting the most bang for your buck.

The Vizio E series TVs with local dimming deliver very good picture quality for an affordable price. The image evinces deep black levels with little blooming, accurate color and great bright-room performance, and it provides for plenty of adjustments....

Dimmer highlights than some more expensive TVs; archaic software upgrade system; significant variation between models; poor sound quality; cheap-feeling remote.

If you're looking to maximize your TV dollar and don't care about 4K, it's tough to go wrong with the Vizio E series.

Vizio E Series 2015 TV

It looks nicer than the 2014 version, but on the inside there's not much different about 2015 Vizio E-series TVs. It has good picture quality for the price, but like most LED TVs, it loses picture quality when viewed from the side. Like the 2014...

Good picture quality, for the price. ; Great gaming TV. The input lag and motion blur are both minimal.

Poor gray uniformity, with several issues present onscreen. ; Poor viewing angle. ; The local dimming feature is ineffective. At best, it doesn't make a difference, and at worst it makes the whole picture look worse. ; The stand is wide-set, and is not...

Vizio E-Series 55-Inch HD Review: Reliable Bargain

The 55-inch Vizio E-Series HD TV exemplifies the aphorism "you get what you pay for." It doesn't support 4K ultra-HD video or offer exceptional audio, or come with snazzy features like a video camera or a Bluetooth remote control. On the other hand, it...

Reasonable price ; Good contrast ; Robust smart-TV features

Dated interface ; Inferior sound

The E-Series is an excellent HD set for price-conscious buyers looking for a crisp picture with good contrast.

"Protocol" customer service, but okay tv!-ish

On first receiving my e43-c2, I connected to my wifi effortlessly ... or so it seemed. It turns out that it only said I was connected when in all actuality I wasn't. I then tried going through the entire manual and all of the FAQs related to my model,...

big screen, little dough

Customer Service and no letters or scroll bar on the remote

Very bad picture!

Have been living with this TV for a month, it is not 1080P and the picture looks very bad most of the time, there is vignetting on the corners and the local dimming makes allot of shows look horrible! Why did cnet give this TV a hi review?

Design is nice

Vignetting on the edges, local dimming looks horrible

"You'll have to buy another....soon"

Vizio TVs are essentially disposable. 1st one, E-60 series, developed vertical lines on screen after 2 years. It was replaced by Vizio with a reconditioned E-60 series. The replacement developed horizontal lines after 1 year. Vizio will do nothing....

worked well until warranty expired

Life span of 1-2 years
