A SAVVY buyer might want to throw this vacuum over the HOOVER DAM

I purchased the savvy 21 months ago and to be honest have not put many miles on this baby. In spite of that, two months ago the headlamp burned out. The basic on/off switch sometimes gave me trouble, (cheap plastic) and although never broke, it always ...

great suction power, attachments and ease of emptying

poor workmanship, poor on/off switch and electrical components

This thing sucks. Badly.

When we moved to the US we had to leave our beloved Dyson behind and purchase a new vacuum cleaner here. We briefly considered a Dyson again, but the costs seemed pretty high, especially in comparison to this Hoover. Well, turns out you get what ...

Pushing it around gives a great workout.

The switch broke, the belt broke, and it won't suck.

Simply awesome!

So my previous vacuum was a Dirt Devil Featherlite - a complete, loud piece of junk that wouldn't even pick up loose lint with 10 passes (not an exaggeration). I have 2 maine coon cats who shed constantly. There were always tufts of hair left on the ...

Hoover Savvy?

My wife and I purchased our first Hoover Savvy from a major "ware house" style retail store. The reason we choose the Savvy was due to it's bagless, easy to empty feature as well as previous positive experience with our Hoover steam vacuum. We had two ...

Good cleaning power, lays nearly horizontal (easy to clean under furniture)

Poor quality / reliability. Both units I purchased exhibited the same main switch failure.

More time in repair than in service!

I bought this vac for its ability to switch on and off the brush so it can be used on carpet and bare floors with just a flick of the switch. The low front deck is also nice so it can go under furniture. It appears to be a good design... save for its ...

Brush on off switch, low front deck.

Constant breakdowns and expensive repairs.

Not a good buy!

I loved this vacuum the first and second time I used it.It was bought for me by my husband. The third time, I stepped on the handle release, and something snapped and it broke. Ok, so I can deal with no handle release, as long as it still picks up good...

Worked great the first couple days.

Went downhill fast. Lost suction, and things broke easily!

Hoover Scam!!!

It a good vacuum in most respects.

The belt is, in my opinion, a scam.

Super heavy sucker

Forget the gym, this vacuum will give you all the workout you'll need. This thing is heavy, not only lugging this bad-boy up and down the stairs, but even while vacuuming I find that my arm gets tired just holding the handle up. While I have not ...

Bag or filter, detachable hose and onboard tools

Heavy, no lower handle, two repairs needed in the first year

I'm off to look for something better...

We needed a new vacuum cleaner about 8 months ago, so I did a little research and we decided on a model (sadly, I can't remember which one any more)...when my wife went to the store to purchase our selection, it was out of stock. So she came home with ...

Light weight, large, easy-to-empty dirt bin, good cleaning on hard floors and rugs

Short attachment hose, "Pet hair" tool doesn't add much value, "lifetime belt" broke twice already
