While there's no denying that this vacuum does a great job at cleaning floors, we're just not convinced that the extra features it boasts make it worth the exorbitant pricetag.
While there’s no denying that this vacuum does a great job at cleaning floors, we’re just not convinced that the extra features it boasts make it worth the exorbitant pricetag. We were very impressed by how easy the Roomba 880 was to set up and start...

The iRobot Roomba 880 outshines its Roomba 790 predecessor and carries the brand to a new level of robot vacuum awesomeness.
The ; replaces its predecessor's bristly brushes with rubbery "extractors" as part of the new AeroForce cleaning system. This brushless technology removes debris better than previous iterations and keeps maintenance to a minimum.
The bin is supposedly larger than in previous Roomba models, but it still fills up too quickly when you're dealing with dust and shedding pets. That, and it costs $699.
The Roomba 880 is the most well-rounded, capable bot we've encountered so far, but the $449 Neato Robotics XV Signature Pro still wins the pet hair performance test on all flooring surfaces.

The iRobot Roomba 880 is a powerful upgrade over the Roomba 790, but even though it sucks (dirt up) more it's basically the same robotic vacuum.

If you're looking for the latest and best robotic vacuum cleaner, the IRobot Roomba 880 is definitely worth a close look. With upgraded technology, it cleans twice as much dirt as other models. As an added bonus, it also does great on pet hair and has...

The Roomba 880 is iRobot's latest robotic vacuum cleaner. It features the Aeroforce Performance Cleaning System as well as Aeroforce cleaning extractors, which iRobot claims to be tangle-free. We spent some time with it to see if it can really help...
Excellent navigation ; Tangle-resistant extractors and sweeping brush ; Good suction performance ; Two Virtual Wall Lighthouse devices
Pricey ; Inelegant dustbin release mechanism ; Only one sweeping brush ; A tad noisy
Unfortunately, the convenience that the Roomba 880 offers comes at a high price,

If you were to look back through the development of the Roomba over the past five years or so, you'd be surprised at how little the robot vacuum cleaner has changed. The Roomba […]

The Roomba 880 is one of the more advanced robot cleaners from the pioneers at iRobot. I first tested a Roomba almost a decade ago and while things haven't changed much cosmetically, lots has changed on the inside. The Roomba 880 offers learning and...

Robot vacuum cleaners, such as the iRobot Roomba 880, are interesting little gadgets. They are far from cheap, costing the best part of £500, but for that mighty lump of cash they take one of the worst household chores off your hands. The iRobot Roomba...
Nice design, great cleaning ability, good battery life, easy scheduling, simple to operate, Virtual Wall accessories
Expensive, can't manage higher pile rugs, doesn't always detect objects, noisy, presence of Virtual Wall accessories
The iRobot Roomba 880 is a great looking and great performing robot vacuum cleaner. It does exactly what it sets out to do, offering good suction, great cleaning power and a decent battery life to keep your floors spic and span.

Much like Dyson brand vacuums, I had heard my fair share of iRobot hype before I began testing the Roomba 880. I even had visions of following in Tom Haverford's footsteps and building a "DJ Roomba" of my very own. Sadly, my dreams of channeling "Parks...

The Roomba 880 is the top-of-the-range robot vacuum cleaner from iRobot. At £600, it's more expensive than any Best Buy conventional vacuum cleaner that we've tested, but iRobot does claim that you can put your feet up with while this machine does all...
