The GE GTW485ASJWS is fine if you're looking for an affordable top-load washer -- just keep in mind that its agitator isn't forgiving when it comes to wear and tear.

There's always an unbalanced load, practically walks across the room. Only stainless steel in the back of the washer not the whole barrel. Dryer takes too long.

Love the glass lid, works well, and is quiet when running. I would like to see a little more water for washing or be able to add a little more water to some loads.

This washer is quiet, does great job of cleaning clothes while saving water, soap, softner and bleach. Large enough to wash a queen/king comforter, beadspread, curtians and draperies. Nice features for todays fabrics too.
