Hotpoint WDPG8640

I bought this to replace an older Hotpoint washer dryer that I had good service from for over 10 years this model takes a larger load has a shorter quick wash and has a faster spin and has less noise excellent

It's a nice machine with a big drum and it is fairly quiet. It has a 30 minute wash cycle and variable times for drying items

Programmes are far too long and on the 30 minute wash you cannot adjust the temperature above 30 degrees, on my old Hotpoint you could.

Keen on freshness of newly washed synthetic bedding & looking forward to washing silk/polyester shirts end results.

Had to have plumbing and wiring carried out by a third party, seperate organization and not sure how this validates our insurance.

Quick wash can only run at 30 degrees and below with 800 spin. Very often the machine will decide to not spin the clothes and they'll come out sopping wet.

Very quiet motor, very efficient cleaning. Excellent range of wash programmes including one specifically for washing and drying woollens.

Other reviewers have complained about the length of the wash cycles which on the face of it do look a little long. However the length of time displayed does include the drying time which is not the case with some other washer/dryers.

The standard time for a wash is indicated as 3:10 hours which is too long time The actual time can be anything from 2:45 up to that At the end it indicates 10 mins but then it takes 15 min So planning around indicated time is impossible I have reported...
