excellent top-loader

 

I purchased the Maytag MVWB800V washer and matching dryer (without steam function) in October 2008 and I'm more than satisfied with them. I was looking for an energy star machine and found that front loaders are not suited for 2nd floor laundry rooms...

capacity, ability to adjust temp/speed/soil level, very quiet

funky smell that comes and goes, becomes unbalanced with heavy loads
