Miele WDD020 Classic 8kg 1400rpm Freestanding Washing Machine White

Very quiet machine. Easy to follow programmes that can be adjusted to suit the type of load. The Short/Express Cycle of 20 mins gets things very clean and is a great plus.

The wash comes out a bit wet sometimes compared to my old Bosch machine but that might be an issue of me overloading the machine - still getting used to an 8kg rather than 7kg machine. No "beeper" to indicate the end of a wash.

We have replaced our old Miele after 20 years I think that says it all

Simple to use

I love how you can shorten the cycle time if you like. The express 20 min cycle is also great. There are lots of nice features like the specific outerwear and proofing settings and you can manually adjust the presets to suit your needs.

I haven't managed to find a buzzer function to let you know when the cycle has finished, so I'm not sure if it has one of those, which is a shame as I always forget that I need to take the load out.

build quality & guarantee

Washing comes out hard and scratchy even when using fabric softener. My old Hotpoint gave me nice soft towels. Tried various different programmes but to no avail.

Had to call out a technician to remove one of the transit rods.
