It arrived externally damaged and it appeared that surely it wouldn't work, but your customer service waited until he opened the box and used it to see if it could be returned. It works! Five stars for your customer service. It was a gift.

DVR's are great. I have 3 -- 2 Replays and a Tivo. I highly recommend them over VCR's for all the reasons you read in all the reviews. They also work quite well with few glitches, so I hadn't had much chance to test their tech support, until recently....

This dvd recorder is great until the drive tray is bad. Just search around and you'll find similar problems. Right now we have to bash the top to get the tray or open or close properly. Updated firmware will not fix this.

Returned it within a couple of days because various functions were not working properly right off the bat; VHS tapes were playing improperly, VHS to DVD record was operating at a strange ratio, etc. Thankfully, Amazon's refund process was smooth.
