This dvd recorder is great until the drive tray is bad. Just search around and you'll find similar problems. Right now we have to bash the top to get the tray or open or close properly. Updated firmware will not fix this.

Lots of problems: "Locks-up" frequently. Recordings terminate prematurely. Remote frequency is the same as two of my other recorders(NOT the same brand) and mishaps occur. Phillips usually makes satisfactory products.
