Boiled a quart of water in about 5 minutes, the power is there but my main complaint is the noise, theres a very high pitched noise coming from it, and sometimes I hear a klank or a pling noise coming from it while it is heating.

Seemed a good idea as I do a lot of site visits and the laptop keyboard gives me RSI like discomfort. The keys are no way near as responsive as they should be. Have to press much harder than normal. Reminiscent of a manual typewriter but keys not as good.

I am quite impressed with this little scanner. I used it for scanning materials I need for my Dharma classes at the local Buddhist temple. The included ABBYY, version 9, worked well for both English and Japanese text. I am using Windows 7 SP1 - YMMV....
