It has a lot of features and is pretty user friendly. However if you plan on printing a lot of papers and such (and don't need color), laser is still the way to go.

If you decide to use a static IP instead of DCHP you have to type in the IP address assigned to the printer by the DHCP in your router in a web browser. When changing to a static IP address you will have to setup the wireless again.
