Whether we like it or not, tablet computers are going to start dominating the mobile market this year. Our ever-growing thirst for data connectivity everywhere we go is quickly outpacing the capabilities of our Smartphones. We want bigger screens to watch our HD videos and browse the web, more powerful hardware for extra productivity, and the battery life to make it through the day. Tablets meet these demands, and that is why there will be nearly hundreds to choose from by the end of the year. But in case you don’t want to wait, there are tablets available today; however, can they hold up against the new tablets of tomorrow?

It’s no secret that the winter holiday season is by far the biggest shopping season of the year. In the United States alone, consumers spent nearly $600 billion this year. With all that money flying about, you can’t help but wonder just what exactly people are buying, so we decided to take a look at some of the more popular items this year.
Following our highlights from CES Las Vegas 2011, here are a couple of pictures taken at the CES last week by Colin Ryan from our New York office.
The Consumer Electronics Show is the world’s largest technology conference and trade show. Each year, the event gathers companies promoting the latest innovations in segments such as audio, computer hardware & software, digital imaging, electronic gaming, lifestyle electronics, etc.

Everyone does a lot of traveling over the holidays, and likely realized that “Over the river and through the wood” aren’t the best directions to Grandmother’s house; however, with the advent of things like Google Maps, obscure directions are becoming less and less necessary. The Nexus S is Google’s latest flagship Smartphone to run the search giant’s Android operating system. Released on December 16th in the US and shortly after in Europe, it received many mixed reviews, some denouncing the phone for being less than expected and others praising it as the best Android device yet.
