Ever been to a store and didn’t know whether a product was good or whether you could get it online for much less? The alaTest iPhone app is what you’ve been looking for: just scan the barcode of a product with the built-in barcode scanner and within seconds you have all the reviews, ratings, prices and details about it at your fingertips.

Along with the barcode scanner, which by the way also features search on Google to make sure you find just about anything, the app also let’s you save items on a wishlist. The wishlist is then automatically synced to your account on alaTest-websites.

The app is free and available for iOS4 and later. PCWorld Denmark even said, that it’s “one of the 10 apps that make the iPhone better” (March 2010).
