With its color-splashed backgrounds and gorgeous, hand-painted 2D sprites, Aquaria might look like a kids' game, or a casual one. But like its ocean setting, this fantasy action-adventure game is miles deeper than what you see on the surface.

Outstanding story. Easy controls. Massive area to explore. Cool graphics and music. Includes level editor. Award winning. Universal binary

Requires patience. Tough boss battles

Stunningly well crafted with a compelling story, beautiful visuals and music, and hours upon hours of action-adventure, Aquaria provides patient gamers with an ocean of depth.

RPG beauty

Aquaria is a landmark in the independent gaming world, and a prime example of the power of art to engage human emotion. It's an RPG in the familiar style of Metroid and Castlevania, but it's not about simply killing monsters to power up while a...

I am pleased that Aquaria is available for iOS. It was a true delight to play it on the PC, however it is most wonderful to be playing it on the iPad's touch screen. It is a more immersive experience.

Should be in the top 10

Like the title says, this should be in the top 10 games, amongst the top 3 best on the iPad. It is beautiful and atmospheric, great story and gameplay, all the elements of a classic iOS game. This is a full 5 star recomendation.

This game from the begining reeks of quality, and an adventure we won't soon forget. You can tell the developers took their time with this game. Everything from the onset has me curious to learn more and want to play more. I am only about 15 min into...

Great audio + visual + touch experience

This game is one of the best audio + visual + touch experiences I've had on the iPad thus far. That's really all I can say. Be sure to do what the game says and play with headphones!
