Great noises: if you enjoy space shuttles

It is very cheap for a blu ray reader

Very loud when operating. I bought this to have the option of one day using it as a media server backup; however it is too loud to watch a movie in the same room. Grinding noises when opening tray

I have several LG products, this is by far the worst of them. As support from LG is non-existent, I'll be paying more for another brand. After it quit reading blu-rays, it did continue to read other CDs and DVDs, but that doesn't help me with blu-rays.

Easy install, looked good, worked out of box

Quit working after 3 months. After a couple months of no issues, I figured all was fine and trashed the box. Since Newegg requires all packaging for a return I'm out of luck

Great movie saver

Works just like it is supposed to. For only a couple dollars more you get to watch those Blu-ray movies you grabbed by accident from the video store

none yet

A working Blu Ray drive for $50

Totally not as represented

no idea - haven't installed it

As other poster mentioned (too bad I didn't read it before ordering as this was promoted in a new egg daily deal email) The overview states: "Take entertainment to the next level with 3D using the new Power BD-DVD 3D Software bundle" which DOES NOT...

Blu-Ray! on your PC! What!?

The only reason I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5 is the lack of Blu-Ray playing capability out of the box. I understand it is OEM, but you would think it would have built it codecs for Blu-Ray video/audio.

1.) Blu-Ray on your PC ; 2.) fast read speeds for DVD as well ; 3.) Burning speeds are on par with dedicated DVD Burners

1.) OEM part (no software or Blu-Ray codecs)

Not so Hot

Gave this 5 egg's for Newegg's service on this item. The actual HDWR only deserves 1 egg.

Fast! Would Burn faster than anything

Within 2 weeks of utilization it became history. Newegg is replacing

Nice Drive

I have bought several LG Blu-Ray drives--both readers and writers. They are solid, fast, and quiet. If you have the LG Multi-Blu Ray disc from another retail LG drive, you can use that with this drive. Otherwise, you will need to find a source for...

Attractive face plate ; Good read / write speeds

OEM Drive - does not include software

...nothin' but net

It worked with two Bluray movie discs I tested it with. It worked with several DVD/CD application install discs I used it with. It worked to burn a DVD from an ISO image I used it with. It works. If you're not going to purchase Bluray software from a...

Price. Looks. Works

None ; But ; I am very familiar with the software/driver issues for OEM and brown box purchases ; And I'd rather save money (especially in this case) by buying a bare drive ; So: *no* cons
