Save yourself the trouble and don't buy this piece of junk

I received this along with a couple of Blu-ray movies as a Christmas present. I hooked it up and right away thought there was something wrong with it when it took so long to load the movies. So I was able to watch ONE movie and it gave me problems...

Straight Junk - Don't waste your money.

Bought this and immediately had to do the updates, which I had to jump through hoops for bc memorex has non-existent support. Worked fine for a while, tried playing some newer Blu-Ray DVDs this Christmas, and they would not work. Attempted to do...

Nothing but a paper-weight

Nothing but a paper-weight

Memorex provides very poor support. This is a Blu-ray player, encryption formats evolve and require frequent firmware updates. It looks like Memorex puts out one update a year if you are lucky. All of the Blu-ray movies I have bought recently can't be...

Good Player, No Support

This player has great audio and video as well as most of the features found with more expensive models. The problem is Memorex. Blu-ray format is constantly changing, and the player's firmware needs updating as well. Memorex doesn't do this. In the...

NO SUPPORT! NO FIRMWARE UPDATES!

NO SUPPORT! NO FIRMWARE UPDATES!

Stay away from this one. No firmware updates in 8 months, it fails to play newer BluRay disks. This unit is essentially worthless without firmware updates. Shame on you Memorex!

Cheap doesn't have to mean cheap quality - unfortunately, this time it does.

Cheap doesn't have to mean cheap quality - unfortunately, this time it does.

If you want a cheap way to enjoy Blu-Ray, this is an ok option. It does play Blu-ray discs, and it does look pretty darn good. As other users have mentioned, however, there is almost zero support from Memorex on this product. Memorex released a...

Good basic blu ray player

Good basic blu ray player

I've had this player for about four months, it works just fine but isn't perfect. If you want all the bells and whistles get a Sony blu-ray player and pay the extra $100 to $200. If you just want a basic blu-ray player to watch movies and don't care...
