Review: INQ Mini Twitter Phone

It's colorful. It's cheap. It's dedicated to Twitter. It's only available overseas. For now.

INQ Mini 3G

It shares many features in common with the upcoming INQ Chat 3G, but the Mini 3G is a much simpler and more conventional device. There's a 2.2" 240 x 320 pixel display, a very basic 2 megapixel camera and 3.5G support, although there's no WiFi or GPS...

INQ Mini 3G review

Is the budget Twitterphone trying to do too much?

Compact design ; Very low price ; Facebook and Skype integration ; Native Twitter client

Slow and sluggish UI ; Cramped keyboard ; Convoluted process to merge contacts with Facebook

A great budget handset that delivers a huge amount of social networking options, but is perhaps guilty of trying to achieve too much.

INQ Mini 3G

INQ caused something of a wave when it dropped its INQ1 handset into the mobile phone pond last year. Taking an approach that focused on software, the INQ1 was one of the first devices to offer out-of-the-box access to social networks and online...

Social network integration, affordable, HSDPA

Poor keyboard, no 3.5mm jack, no FM radio, could take a step further with integration

There are things we don't like about the INQ Mini 3G when you stack it up against what larger devices are doing, but then when you compare it to some of the current offerings outside the "smartphone" category, it copes very well indeed.

INQ Mini 3G review

The INQ1 ‘Facebook' phone was a godsend for the impoverished social networker – and now its successor has added Twitter to the menu

An essential mobile companion for the fanatical, cash-strapped social networker
