Sony Ericsson W710i

Sony Ericsson's W710i makes great calls—plus, it tracks your exercise step by step.

Unusual pedometer feature. Good call quality. Rugged.

Doesn't integrate music with exercise as well as the Nike + iPod does.

Sony Ericsson W710i review

Sony Ericsson is on a roll with its music-centric Walkman phone line, and in the past year and a half, the company has been introducing new models as steadily as the beat of a drum. Its latest entry, the Sony Ericsson W710i, puts a unique twist on the...

The Sony Ericsson W710i has an attractive, user-friendly design and good call quality. It comes with Bluetooth, a speakerphone, a 2-megapixel camera, and a Walkman digital music player.

The Sony Ericsson W710i has a disappointing external display and some flimsy parts, and its camera lacks a few extras. Also, music player navigation was a bit sluggish.

The Sony Ericsson W710i is solid addition to Sony Ericsson's Walkman phone line despite a few design hiccups and some missing features.

Sony Ericsson W710i

The battery life on the W710i is impressive - Sony Ericsson claim that the device has up to 10 hours talktime with 14 days standby time. The handset weighs a reasonable 101 grams and measures 88x48x25mm - so it's not the lightest phone on the market,...

Sony Ericsson W710i

The W710i Walkman phone is built for an active lifestyle. Keep the beat, keep in touch, stay on the go - the W710i is the perfect companion to keep you moving in style.

Big screen on the front that can display lots of data (clock, alarms, text messages, appointments, etc.) ; Lots of buttons on the outside to let you control the walkman while the phone is closed ; Pedometer features are very accurate and even cooler...

It should also be noted that wotanserver allows you to flash a z710 with w710 software. The z710 doesn't have the hardware required for the pedometer so all of those features don't work, but anyone who wants the phone and isn't interested in the...

Sony Ericsson W710i review

A Walkman phone that'll be music to your ears

Walkman music player and FM radio ; Built-in fitness features ; Armband cradle

No 3G ; Camera lacks autofocus ; Distinctive appearance may not suit all

A phone that knows its market and meets its needs well

Sony Ericsson W710i

Sony Ericsson doesn't give a Walkman badge to just any old MP3-playing phone. After all most mobiles have some form of onboard media player. A Walkman phone must go further, offering a serious package that delivers a serious acoustic experience

Walkman music player and FM radio, Built-in fitness features, Armband cradle

No 3G, Camera lacks autofocus, Distinctive appearance may not suit all

A phone that knows its market and meets its needs well

Sony Ericsson - W710i

Mobile phones do a lot more than just handle voice calls these days, and it was only a matter of time before sporty active people were targeted by purveyors of handsets. Sony Ericsson's W710i is not, ...

If you are in the least bit sporty and like your gadgets then it may be that you already have some sort of heart rate monitor, GPS or other kit designed to monitor your progress to the Nth degree. For such people, the W710i is probably not going to add...
