this product did some of what I expected

It took the static out of the stations I alreadyrecieved. But didnt get me any new stations, which is what I also expected.

Simple, clean, works great

Antenna came with lots of connection options, I had a standard receiver so just used the loop and Coax connection. Plugged it in, and had perfect reception right away. Didn't seem to care about orientation too much, FM was money from the get go and AM...

Good Antenna

Performs well for both AM and FM. For $20 it is completely worth it. I'm in a basement and I get more stations than I did previously with my stock "T" and "loop" antennas

Not many at the price point, I guess I would say don't buy it expecting to receive every AM station out there. This is not a DXing antenna, just for standard operation

Cheap Product-

Cheap, improvement over wire in certain areas

Did not do the job in a poor signal area, needed an amplified antenna to receive clear FM Signals. I expected too much for too little

Works great!

I think this receiver is perfect for what I use it for (garage stereo). A lot of people rip on FM receivers and say that they suck but it's hard to get a strong FM signal even inside my garage sometimes, you just have to find the right spot with a...

Works well, great reception

Can sometimes be picky about location

Weak performer

Small size and thin profile.

This antenna is disappointing. Its small size, which is what drew me to it in the first place, is actually the source of its greatest weakness, namely, its extreme suceptibility to FM nulls (dead spots in the room). The instruction sheet does mention...

TERK AM/FM+ Stereo Antenna with Gamma Loop Technology

If you are not planning on using it in a brick building and you don't mind so-so AM reception then this is good (I only listen to FM so it works perfectly for me).

Great FM reception, compact size, good look.

Not very good AM reception, doesn't work very well if you are in a brick building.

Good passive FM, but poor AM antenna

I wanted an antenna that didn't require power for my office. This product succeeds as a low-price FM antenna, but the AM reception is only slightly better than no antenna at all. I'll continue to use a separate antenna for AM.

The FM antenna improved reception significantly over the monopole antenna that came with my radio.

The AM antenna doesn't receive nearly as well as several loops of wire wrapped around a plastic frame that the manufacturer provided with my radio.

works well

Significantly improved reception compared to FM dipole, similar AM results to the loop that came with my receiver. Attractive design. Did not have to pull it out to the nearest window, just kept it on the shelf where the stereo already was.

Attractive Design ; Fast Setup ; Improved Audio/Video

did not improve my radio signal at all.

Did not improve reception. It is worse than the old rabbit ears I was using before. I would like to return it.

Does Not Improve Audio/Video

Product Specifications

You want to listen to music, not static. That's why the AM/FM+ incorporates TERK's patented Gamma-Loop technology, with specialized noise reducing antenna elements that provide clearer reception of a greater number of nearby stations. With the AM/FM+, you'll enjoy more stations with less static. The AM/FM+ can either stand upright or be mounted on a wall, for easy installation nearly everywhere. It's a fact: almost all receivers and rack systems include nothing more than a "T" wire dipole antenna for FM reception. Supplied more as a courtesy than anything else, these throwaway "low-tech" antennas provide marginal reception performance at best, with high susceptibility to noise and interference along with poor directionality and limited placement options. TERK's AM/FM+ antenna provides a dramatic improvement in reception at an extremely modest cost. The AM/FM+ is omnidirectional, receiving signals equally from all directions to assure great reception wherever your equipment is placed in the room. The AM/FM+ is designed to reduce noise and static to an absolute minimum, to receive more stations with superb clarity. The TERK AM/FM+ is simple to connect and use - just plug it into your radio or receiver. The AM/FM+ comes complete with matching transformers for 75 ohm and 300 ohm antenna inputs, allowing fast, easy connection to virtually every radio, receiver or compact music system. The AM/FM+'s compact design blends in with most any decor. While any antenna can be placed on or next to the radio or receiver, the AM/FM+ is one of the few that may also be mounted on the wall. In addition to providing an alternative decorative choice, wall mounting may improve reception by allowing the AM/FM+ to be placed in a more favorable area for reception, as well as separating the antenna from noise and interference that may be radiated from audio components and other electronics.
