For some reason, I have had bad luck with DVD players. PIONEER DV-383S however has operated perfectly from day 1. I bought it to UK import DVDs. It plays them perfectly.

Compact, good looking, plays dvd's vcd's cd's svcd's and mp-3 cd's with ease. The sound quality is excellent (perhaps in my case because it's connected to a pioneer home thetre system). The best feature is the ability to view a slideshow of all my...

The Pioneer Elite DV-45a is really quite a remarkable machine. It not only plays video DVD's, but also SACD's in stereo and multi-channel, as well as DVD-Audio discs, as well as regular CD's. Now there are numerous less expensive players that do the ...

This may not be the best-looking DVD deck out there, but its commanding performance and comprehensive feature count make that an irrelevance.

Firstly, this is NOT a multi-region DVD player, there are some mis-leading reviews and comments out there. It can be made multi-region by sending it to a few companies who will fit an internal chip, thus invalidating your warranty, but there are...

Many companies have kicked the formats upstairs, leaving it off the specification sheet of their entry-level kit and placing it as a special feature on high-end players and systems. Pioneer though, has taken a different tack, continuing to support...
