Scotsman CU1526 Prodigy 150 Pound Under Counter Ice Maker

The ice maker works great. The only flaw is the ice bin. The way it is designed it doesn't hold enough ice. The bin is big but the way the ice dumps, it shuts off after 20-30 #'S OF ICE.

I was surprised by the reduction of the ice making capacity (assumred to be) by the room temp and water temp. I expected perhaps 30% to 40% reduction of the 150# in 24 hours. . Instead there appears to be a 60% to 70% recduction. The room and water...

We bought this because hubs and I like to fish. This saves us time and money. Best investment.

I don't know why they put a plastic slide door on the ice bin. It seems like a stainless door would have been more insulating.
