Sony Vaio Fit 14 review:

The Sony Vaio Fit 14 is proof that a budget-friendly laptop need not look like one, nor sacrifice performance to get a better-looking design.

The Sony Vaio Fit 14 is an attractive thin-and-light laptop with excellent features, performance, and design for its price. It has a bright and very responsive touch screen and higher resolution than some competing models.

Those who need five-plus hours of battery life, a really light body, or extreme performance will still need to spend more money. Its speakers sound a bit thin and its battery isn't removable.

The Sony Vaio Fit 14 is an all-around excellent laptop for the money that will satisfy the basic demands of everyday use for many people and look good doing it.

Sony VAIO Fit 14

Sony is phasing out its value-centric, multimedia-heavy VAIO E Series line of notebooks in favor of the new VAIO Fit line. The Sony VAIO Fit 14 (starting at $649, $849 as tested) features a Core i5 processor, integrated graphics and a relatively...

Sony VAIO Fit 14 Review and Ratings

The all-new Sony VAIO Fit 14 delivers a lot of bang—namely a Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a high-definition touch screen—for a reasonable number of bucks. It's a solid, though not standout, thin-and-light entry for those who want portability with a...

Solid fit and finish ; Onboard optical drive ; Good performance ; Excellent Sony software bundle ; Attractive price

Narrow screen viewing angle ; So-so speakers ; Sealed-in battery with mediocre life

For a road-going thin-and-light, the VAIO Fit 14 showed disappointing battery life. While our video-playback torture-test time of 4 hours and 8 minutes is commendably close to Sony's claim of four and a quarter hours, the Fit still trails most rivals...

"Awful inside and out"

Don't buy it after a month you'll want to turn it for a better model after two months you'll have to reinstall Windows because it crashed and you'll lose all your files after 3 months the screen goes black and it won't come on again.

It can ruin autocad well and has a touchscreen

Crashes all the time. Runs incredibly slow after a few days use. Poor battery life. Premium metal version is just an ugly metal lid cover that looks worse than plastic.

"review of F15 series- big brother of this Sony 14."

Sadly at my local Fry's I'm told by several sales associates that these things are flying off the shelves. To bad most people may never realize they are open to any drive by attack which allows remote user full access to anything you have saved,...

great screen, easy hdmi hook up to larger monitor, mouse or touchpad for easy navigation, comfortable "lit" keyboard, choice of intel processors 3,5, or 7 with more memory the bigger the cpu. Two usb 3.0, and Two usb 2.0 ports.

Corrupted code, missing unattached registry keys to the original windows 8, have caused me to take this 2nd unit back to Fry's. Malware infested. Assist key brings up bios options to restore that same infected code. Buyer beware.
