Review Sony Vaio VPC-Y21S1E Subnotebook

Core Refresh. Sony trades the Core 2 Duo SU7300 for a Pentium U5400, but keeps its successful concept. Integrated graphics, aluminum/magnesium case and a keyboard with a strong feedback. Will summer really be fun with the 13.3 incher?

Good battery life, Solid case, High-end surfaces, Good keyboard, Quiet & cool, Low energy requirement, Fast hard disk, FireWire & ExpressCard34, Light and yet solid. More manufacturers should use an aluminum/magnesium alloy

TFT display too dark, Comparatively low performance, TFT not AR coated, A matt and bright display - that would have saved the mobility factor and the rating: Very Good

A highly portable laptop with a sharp screen, but offers limited performance

Attractive, slim and light ; Sharp and bright widescreen display ; Excellent battery life ; Highly usable ; Strong networking

Flimsy lid ; Stilted performance ; Limited graphical capabilities ; No DVD drive ; Not much storage space

I ordered this laptop and on arrival the laptop didn't work when the battery was inserted. I took it back and confirmed that it was faulty, ordering a replacement. The replacement had exactly the same issue. Do not buy this laptop
